Croeso! Welcome to Cwmrhydyceirw Primary School. We are one of the largest primary schools in Swansea with almost 600 pupils and we are situated in Morriston on the east side of Swansea. We are very proud of our school and everyone who works (and plays!) within it. Selecting the correct school for your child is a vital decision and we feel that we offer a wealth of opportunities for your child to develop a variety of skills and talents during their time with us.

Our school has had a very successful track record over the years and we were delighted in April 2018 to be judged by Estyn as being ‘Excellent’ in all five inspection areas – the first English medium primary school in Wales to achieve this under the new Estyn framework.

As we enter the summer term 2024, there are a few dates for parents to be aware of.

The week beginning 15th April is our Parents’ Evening week. Please make sure you book an appointment with your child’s class teacher!

Thursday 2nd May – Local elections – School is closed to pupils.

Friday 3rd May – INSET day – School is closed to pupils.

Monday 3rd June – Also an INSET day – School is closed to pupils.

The school was last inspected in January 2018 and we were delighted with the findings of the inspection team. We were judged to be ‘Excellent’ in all five inspection areas of :-
