We monitor the use of the Welsh language in our school and offer support to teachers/pupils if necessary. We love to count the tocyn/tokens and announce who has won our competition and Dewi Ddraig. We also introduce the ‘Patrwm yr Wythnos’ each week in our whole school assembly. We meet every Tuesday lunchtime and discuss how we can help the school as we work towards achieving the Siarter Iaith.

The Siarter Iaith provides us with a clear framework, which can be used to promote and increase the use of Welsh by children in a whole school context. In a nutshell, the Siarter Iaith’s main aim is to promote a strong Welsh ethos in schools and to provide a range of enriching activities that propel the children to enjoy learning Welsh.
